Rather, focus on controlling your estimating techniques so that 70% of projects, in certain industries, don't continue to come in over budget. There are four areas every business owner needs to manage when it comes to project costs:

  1. Planning Costs
  2. Estimating Costs
  3. Budgeting Costs
  4. Controlling Costs

Project estimating is much different than managing your own personal budget. Create a consistent method to manage your own project costs internally and for your client's projects. Time is money!

  • To demand respect, means you have to give respect
